Pasta in Marinara Sauce

Marinara Sauce Yields 1 cup
300gms tomatoes, pureed 2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup onion, chopped
1 tbsp garlic (roughly 4 small garlic cloves), chopped 2 tbsp dried oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried rosemary, crushed 1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped 1 bay leaf
1/4th tsp jaggery 1tsp salt
Choice of your whole grain pasta.
Puree the tomatoes and set aside
Heat olive oil in a pan.
Add salt and sweat the onions and garlic until translucent or when you start seeing brown bits.
Slow heat to low and add tomatoes, oregano, rosemary, bay leaf, basil, garlic powder and jaggery and stir until sauce starts bubbling.
Cover pan and let simmer for 4 min by the clock
Switch off gas, let it cool and give one whirl in the mixie until smooth. You can sauté some veggies of your choice and add to this.
Add the boiled pasta to the marinara sauce and enjoy.
