Recipe of Millet Veggie Appams

Ingredients 

1 cup millet of your choice, we have used foxtail in this recipe
1/2 cup urad dal
1tbs leftover cooked rice 
Finely chopped veggies- bell peppers, carrots, french beans.
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp cold pressed coconut oil or A2 ghee 
Soak the millets and the urad dal together for about 4-5 hours.
Grind the soaked mix with 1tbs cooked rice. Ferment overnight.
Cook the finely chopped veggies lightly and mix in the millet batter. Add salt n pepper as per taste to the batter. 
Preheat the appam maker and grease it with some cold pressed coconut oil or A2 ghee. Take a tbs of this batter and fill into the moulds and let it cook for 2-3 mins on a low flame till light brown from both sides. 
And voila! Enjoy this protein and mineral rich appams with a chutney of your choice.
Add some fruits n salad of your kid’s choice and of-course some Mezmos. And that’s how you make your dabba more delightful! :)
